How is this retreat different?
We actually invite you not to think of this as a “retreat”, but more as a creativity and wellness travel experience. Why? Because the term “retreat” is often associated with the fact that you attend a retreat and it will completely change and heal your life. We want to make a more honest promise to you; it might change your life, but it might not. The truth is only you can change your life, starting where you are. You don’t actually need this retreat.
For our retreat, we also place an emphasis on the stages prior and after the retreat, and on integrating the experience more fully. Before the retreat, we will have a group chat with all attendees and a group call. You will also receive a journaling workbook to prepare for your experience. After the retreat, you will also get another journaling workbook to reflect on your experience, and we will have two group calls to assist in the integration of your experience. All of this is optional, and we encourage you to do what feels best to you.

Can I have a full itinerary? I want to know exactly what happens!
We cannot share the full itinerary and schedule yet for two reasons. The first reason is that we will finalise the schedule once we have received all of the responses from the forms that we send to guests, after they sign up. This enables us to create a truly bespoke experience for the general energy and desire of the group. The second reason is that we don’t want to spoil all of the surprises! We promise that we will take great care of you and ensure that everything is created with intention. As a general overview, in the morning we will do a set of guided wellness and self-care practices (meditation, yoga, journaling), we will have a creativity workshop every day hosted by one of our Artists-in-Residence, and then we will do a different daily activity. There will also be some free personal time, where you can be by yourself or connect with others in the group. In the evenings, we will have relaxing activities like crystal sound baths, yoga nidra, sharing circles, and stargazing. We truly think that you will love it!

What do you mean by “mindful luxury”?
By mindful luxury we mean a high-quality soulful experience that is intentionally created with the utmost care and attention to detail. An experience that makes you feel good and special.

What is “wellness” to you?
We understand that wellness means something different to everyone. At Clariness we see wellness as practices or states of being that enable you to authentically reconnect to who you truly are, and find a sense of inner peace and alignment. Wellness can mean different things at different points in your life, and of course it doesn’t mean that you are happy 100% of the time.

Do you offer scholarships?
Due to the high costs and limited available spots, at the moment we are unable to offer scholarships or financial aid. In the future this is something that we want to explore, as we understand that not everyone is able to afford this type of experience. However, to make this experience more manageable for people, we do currently offer payment plans

Who can join this retreat?
This retreat is for anyone over the age of 18, who is a woman or self-identifies as female. You can join the retreat by yourself, you do not need to come with a friend. In fact, most people will join the retreat without anyone accompanying them. You will honestly make amazing friends and by the end of the retreat you will feel like you’ve known everyone for ages. Please do not worry about coming alone.

What kind of food will be served?
It will be 100% plant-based and gluten-free food. Our aim is to create the type of food that you would get in a high-end restaurant, but to make it feel like a heart-warming nourishing homemade meal. If you have any food intolerances or allergies, it is your responsibility to let us know in advance. After you book the retreat, we will send a form that you need to complete where you can share more information about your dietary requirements.

Can I have a single occupancy room?
Yes, you can request to upgrade to a single occupancy room at an additional cost. The full cost of a single occupancy room is £4,900. This needs to be paid in full. Early Bird rates and payment plans are not available for this option. To request an upgrade please email us at hello@clariness.co.

What airport should I fly into & how do the group transfers work?
If you are travelling from outside Europe, we recommend flying into Barcelona Airport. If you are travelling within Europe, please only fly into Girona airport.
There will only be one car ride transfer from Barcelona airport at around 3 PM, on 27 August. There will be two car ride transfers from Girona airport at around 4 PM, on 27 August. Exact times will be determined after all guests have confirmed flight arrival times. The cost of group car transfers is covered. For the flight back on 2 September, we will organise group transfers leaving the venue around 2 PM. It takes about 1h30 to get to Barcelona airport and about 30 mins to get to Girona airport.
If you are arriving outside of the set times and cannot join the group transfers, we can organise private transportation for you at an extra cost. Payment will need to be made directly to the taxi driver, for private transfers.
If you are travelling from overseas (USA, Canada, Australia), we recommend arriving in Barcelona a couple of days earlier to acclimate and get used to the new timezone. We will create a group chat with all guests a couple of months before the retreat, so you might want to pair up with other guests from overseas to arrive earlier and spend some time discovering Barcelona.

At what time does the retreat start and end?
Guests are welcome to arrive at the retreat venue around 4:30 PM on Saturday 27 August. All guests will then have to leave the retreat venue by 2:00 PM on Friday 2 September.

What is your covid policy?
Every single person attending the retreat will be required to take a rapid lateral flow COVID test upon arrival, right before entering the venue. You will only be admitted if you test negative for COVID-19. If you test positive for COVID-19, you will not be able to attend the retreat nor stay at the venue. We will not be able to refund you, since this is out of our control.
Everyone will be required to have an NHS Covid Pass, EU Digital Covid Certificate or equivalent. We might need to adapt to new covid regulations that might be imposed by the Catalan or Spanish government.

What is your refund and cancellation policy?
Only people who Pay in Full are entitled to a refund. All instalments made with a Payment Plan are strictly non-refundable. If you pay in full, we will refund you 50% of the retreat cost, except for the non-refundable deposit of £590, if and only if your cancellation is made 8 weeks before the start date of the retreat. Cancellations made after 8 weeks prior to the start date of the retreat will not be refunded. In case the retreat needs to be rescheduled due to COVID-19 or any other situation out of our control, guests will be offered new retreat dates or a voucher for a future retreat, but we will not offer refunds. No exceptions will be made to our cancellation and refund policy. By making the payment of your non-refundable deposit, you agree to this refund and cancellation policy.

Is there any way I can hop on a call before deciding to join the retreat?
Yes, you can book a 15 min Zoom call with Clara here. We have very limited availability for calls, so only book one if you are serious and capable of attending the retreat. Excited to connect with you!

Is there anything else I need to know?
You are precious! Keep on being you.
